Guizhou’s non-state sector of the economy is facing more opportunities for growth as the government has promised to open up important markets to foreign and private investment. This year, non-state-owned enterprises have been developed with a fast-moving pace, value added in industrial filed has exceed 7.5 billion, increased by 27.8% comparing with last year; Tax revenue exceeds 3 billion, increased by 22.45%.      I am now in one of production workshops of Guzihou Laoganma Flavor Foodstuffs Company, the processing machines behind me can consume dried chilli pepper of 1.25 tons and rape oil of 4.5 tons a year. And this year products made from these machines has helped this compnay’s total production value reaches 1.3 billion yuan.

    Before the establishment of Laoganma Flavor Foodstuffs Company, no one could think of that chilli pepper can bring such great profit. Over 7 years, this company has been developed and now is grown into a famous enterprise all around China. Up to now, it not only becomes the largest enterprise in the same business line of condiments but also booms related industry. The major raw materials of Laoganma’s products feature Chilli pepper and rape oil, take a close look at the purchase of both of them. In 1997, this company bought total 170 tons and 1700 tons respectively. And in this year, the need for these two raw materials has increased to 12.5 thousands of tons and 45 thousands of tons respectively. The number is 73 and 26 times of 1997’s. From 1997 to 2006, their purchase of these two materials has helped boost raw material sales of more than 300 farmers.
