    For the twenty years, the afforestation has been put into effect in Kaiyang County. Especially the ancient maples planted in the fields and the villages got good protection. Now 25% area of Kaiyang is covered with forest with various types of vegetations. Last year, Kaiyang county was conferred the title as the model county of planting trees. Seeing the red leaves now even become an important event of the winter tour in Kaiyang.
